Irishish
Joska Hegedus Vincent (Bowreed Ceilidh) and Luke Shaw first met at Bath university ten years ago, and rekindling their passion 8 years later have developed their characteristic style: a high-energy mixture of intricate melodies from Joska's fiddle and driving accompaniment from Luke's DADGAD guitar.
Travelling extensively with a tent on his back, Joska has collated tunes from various fiddle styles, from the wild mountains of Donegal, to the rolling hills of the Clare to contemplative slow airs.
Luke loves playing in irish sessions, and since Brexit is officially Irish too though is a bit awkward about the whole thing.
Combining this with more local influences, they take you on an adventure with a unique sound, one that is distinctly Irish...ish...ish! You know, that traditional music that gets your foot tappin and drunk people asking if you know the Wild Rover.
